Shenyang Jiuwu Culture City was located right next to the major retail street lots and served as a cultural and daily consumption concentration. It is not only the the center for cultural cultivation of the region, but also a commerical hub for daily supply, eatery, entertainment, and multi-functional cultural landmarks. In order to emphasize the cultural memory of the city, one of the key design approach is to incorporate the facade with the iconic elements of the culture – “Book”. The oversized graphic symbolized the gesture of fliping pages.As in the Chinese proverbs, “There is a leaf in every page, a tree in every book”.
