Orstar City Zhenru is located in Putuo, where is an important interchange node connecting North and South area, from neighbouring cities, such as Suzhou and Hangzhou to Shanghai through high speed bus as well as railway in West Shanghai station. The role of transportation hub in this area has become the biggest advantage to boost on as a major commercial zone within the area. The design concept inspired from the growing process of tree, reflecting the story of “germination” of the development. Expending the greenery from outdoor to internal space, as well as mimicking the tree elements from root, stem, branch and leaf pattern through the public spaces to create a “growing life” like experience within the mall.
